OUR STORY
Based in Bendigo (Australia), Abyhnho is a music project focusing mostly on the creation of melodic and progressive/alt metal and similar styles of metal/hard rock.
Formed out of the remnants of Melbourne hard rock band Nightwatch, these days Abyhnho takes a slightly heavier approach to music, and can perhaps be compared to acts such as Soen, Mastodon, Karnivool, Green Carnation, Opeth, and others.
It's a constant evolution folks, so who knows what comes next. Promise we'll try to keep it interesting.
Wondering about the name? Well it's actually an acronym and comes from a descriptive phrase that pretty much sums up all new bands when they first start out. Feel free to contact us if you think you have guessed what the phrase may be. It is pronounced mostly as it looks, except the "H's" are silent, the "y" is like a flat "i" as in "gym" and the "o" as in "so" - effectively it becomes "ab_in_o".
